The 50th Anniversary Tour
1962-2012

2012 is a major landmark year for The Dubliners. It marks the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the band in O’Donoghues Pub on Merrion Row in Dublin’s fair city…

After spending their first few months as the Ronnie Drew Ballad Group the lads decided to call themselves after the James Joyce book Luke Kelly was reading at the time….Dubliners. It was as simple as that. The Dubliners were born.

You would think that after 50 years of travelling the world that The Dubliners might want to take it easy but think again. They travel. They turn up. They play. That’s just what they to. That’s what they have always done. The Dubliners play. And boy can they play.

Ladies and Gentlemen Raise a Glass to…………..The Dubliners.
