La bohème, the first in our 2018 Opera Concert Series. Puccini’s timeless classic promises a breath-taking experience for newcomers and opera fans alike, with ravishing music and thrilling arias and ensembles.

Each of the concerts in the 2018 series will feature Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra conducted by John O Brien, a chorus from Cork Operatic Society, and internationally acclaimed soloists.

The Mikado, one of most famous and best-loved of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operettas. Including the famous ‘I’ve Got a Little List’, The Mikado is one of the best-loved of all the Savoy operas.

Considered by many to be the first of the operatic masterpieces of Verdi’s middle-to-late career.
Rigoletto features the instantly recognisable ‘La donna è mobile’, so loved by the audience that it was sung in the streets on the morning after its first ever performance in Venice in 1851.
