Cork Opera House presents
Cork Opera House will present Annie from 20 July to 20 August. Starring Cork’s own Lasairfhíona de Brún and Faye Herlihy as Annie, the heart-warming legendary musical is set to be the smash hit of the summer. Directed by Ronan Phelan and choreographed by Philip Connaughton and with John O’Brien as Musical Director, Annie also features star of screen and stage Hilda Fay (Ms Hannigan), and straight from the West End, Cats veteran Nicholas Pound (Daddy Warbucks). With a clutch of sassy / adorable orphans, and a cast and creative team to die for, Annie will have you singing and dancing your way out on to Emmet Place this summer!
This captivating musical tells the story of New York in 1933, when city is struggling. Even the president isn’t sure what to do next. But a group of orphans, led by the irrepressible Annie, can show the grown-ups a thing or two about life. With a can-do attitude and some self-belief, anyone can make the world a better place.
There’s a lesson for all of us in this wonderful story. It will have you believing that yes the sun will come out tomorrow…
This Cork Opera House made production of the 40 year old Broadway classic will warm your heart. Filled with larger than life characters, the all singing, all dancing, high energy show has an infectious optimism. Annie and her friends remind us that you’re never fully dressed without a smile.
