Please note: There are 88 steep steps down to the cave. It is a half mile walk to the performance space. The temperature in the Cave is 12 degrees. Please wear flat shoes and bring a coat. People are kindly asked to arrive at the entrance to Mitchelstown Caves at 7pm. This is a seated event.
For the fifth year running in what promises to be a truly unforgettable experience, Cork Opera House presents from Friday 17th July, over the course of three nights, six distinctive Irish acts in the intimate, breathtaking location of the Mitchelstown Caves.
Kitt has released six studio albums. His second, The Big Romance (2001) achieved double platinum sales in Ireland and third, Square 1 went straight to No. 1. He has toured with Tindersticks and joins our line-up at The Cave with a selection of old and brand new material from his forthcoming album.
Margie Jean Lewis
A classically trained violinist and jazz vocalist, Margie plays a myriad of antique instruments and likes to experiment with loops and electronics. Her rich bewildering voice has secured her a place at many festivals and seen her collaborate with locals such as Rob Cunningham, New Jackson, Queens of Neon and Paperdolls.
