A Serving of Pinter

Back by popular demand following successful runs in the Cork Opera House’s Half Moon Theatre (September 27th-October 1st) and the Forum, Waterford (7th and 8th October), A Serving of Pinter will be performed on Tuesday the 25th and Wednesday the 26th of October for 2 final performances.

Clinic Media and MooCow Theatre present a compilation of three of Harold Pinter’s short plays, including his highly political piece One for the Road. Hailed as one of the most influential modern British dramatists, Harold Pinter’s writing career spanned more than 50 years.
The three plays by Harold Pinter are;

Trouble In The Works, a Pythonesque sketch, pits a manager of an industrial factory against an employee representing a dissatisfied workforce. Pinter plays with the leader/follower relationship balance beautifully.

Victoria Station, an acclaimed black comedy, introduces us to the struggles of a minicab controller trying to have his instructions followed by No. 274.

One For The Road is a commentary on the terrors of dictatorship. The sadistic Nicolas interviews the members of a family one by one. Pinter’s almost trademark ambiguous sense of menace is in full swing.

A Serving of PINTER is directed by emerging Cork director Eoin Ó hAnnracháin. Starring Nicholas Kavanagh, Frank Jackson, Ruth Hayes and Tadgh O’Connell. Costume design by Deirdre Dwyer, lighting design by Aoife Cahill and sound design by Joe Harney.
