West Side Story
Directed by Bryan Flynn
More than fifty years ago, a show about New York City changed musical theatre forever. From the first notes to the final breath, West Side Story is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents’ book remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever. The score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim — a collection of standards that includes Tonight, America, Maria, I Feel Pretty and Somewhere is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. And the extraordinary, Tony Award-winning choreography by Jerome Robbins completely changed the language of Broadway dance.
This huge new production will feature forty "triple threat" actors/singers/dancers,many of whom went through arduous rounds of casting in Ireland and the UK. Their vocal talents will be enhanced by a twenty-piece orchestra led by conductor, John O'Brien.
Director Bryan Flynn - who has been the creative force behind many musicals in Cork Opera House including Michael Collins, Oliver, The Sound of Music, Jesus Christ Superstar and eight years of panto - will shape these sixty talented performers and a spectacular set into the major musical highlight of the Cork Opera House spring season.

HONK!
By George Stiles and Anthony Drewe
Directed by Bryan Flynn
Some eggs just can’t be beaten!
Since it first hatched in 1993 the family musical, HONK!, has winged its way around the world winning multiple awards including the Olivier Award for Best Musical (beating The Lion King and Mamma Mia).
It’s spring time, and Ida Duck’s nest contains one inordinately large egg. Sure enough, it cracks open to reveal an ugly chick nothing like his siblings, who makes a strange honk sound instead of the expected quack. A cast of twelve led by director Bryan Flynn will provide a “cracking” good time for all ages during the Easter holidays.
