To stage a brand new musical drama is one of the most ambitious challenges theatre professionals can undertake. MICHAEL COLLINS – A Musical Drama is a thrilling new musical drama that vividly dramatizes the life of Michael Collins from the Easter Rising to his death in 1922.
Since Cork Opera House commissioned the show in 2005, there have been showcase presentations in Cork and Waterford, and in February 2008, a major production in Cork Opera House.
Based on the success of these efforts, Cork Opera House is now preparing for a full commercial launch of an independent production relying on private and public investment money.
