Cork Opera House presents The Magic Flute, abridged and semi-staged.
With a prince, magical musical instruments and a cheeky bird-catcher journeying through a fabled realm, Mozart’s final operatic masterpiece is a tale of adventure, endurance, passion and revenge.
Conducted by John O’Brien and directed by Davey Kelleher, Cara O’ Sullivan Associate Artists – Dublin Bass-Baritone Rory Dunne, Wexford Soprano Kelli-Ann Masterson and Clare Tenor, Dean Power – will perform this reimagined classic opera. Joined by a host of Irish and international soloists, the ensemble is accompanied by the Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra.
The concert will run in two halves with a 20-minute interval.
The performance is in German with English surtitles and spoken word.
