In this live show, Hilary Rose who plays Mairead in The Young Offenders, chats to her co-stars about the making of the series, their favourite funny moments and the ups and downs of life on Cork’s favourite TV show!

 

David McSavage

David McSavage returns to Cork Opera House with his hilarious brand of stand-up comedy. Best known for his RTE series, The Savage Eye, David presents a brand new show, If That Makes Sense . . .  featuring some old favourites.

David has performed in many national and international comedy festivals, and his street performances of improvised songs are loved by audiences up and down the country.

An Audience with Celtic Legends John Hartson and Chris Sutton

With over 250 appearances, 151 goals and 14 titles lifted during their time at the club, these two Celtic heroes have cemented themselves in history.

The evening will kick off with a live and unfiltered interview hosted by the fantastic Jed Stone. The legends will talk openly and honestly about their time at the club, the highs, the lows and the ins and outs of the Celtic Park dressing room. During the second half of the evening we will open up the floor to you for our audience led Q&A, this is your perfect chance to ask the guys something about their careers or the teams they played in or to get their opinions on Ange Postecoglou and the current crop of stars.

There are a limited amount of VIP tickets for this celebratory event, which include a meet and greet plus professional photograph with the legends, plus the bonus of premium seating for the show.

Seanie Buttons Presents… Bar Italia + Pebbledash

Bar Italia, is a London-based band composed of Nina Cristante, Sam Fenton and Jezmi Fehmi.

Since 2020 the band have released multiple albums, EPs and singles through World Music. 

They have been noted as a “new act to watch” by The Face magazine and the #1 “rising star to look out for in 2023” by The Times. As well their 2022 EP CDR was placed at #1 on Gorilla vs. Bear‘s list of the best EPs of 2022, and their track “Miracle Crush” was placed at #13 on Crack‘s list of the 25 best songs of 2022.

Laoise Leahy

Blending a lifetime of eclectic influences, including artists such as Esperanza Spaulding, Laura Mvula, Beady Belle, Jazzmeia Horn, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Al Jerreau, Herbie Hancock, and many others, Laoise’s music weaves strands of jazz, soul, pop, blues, rock, and electro driven by lyrics concerned with human circumstances and experience, always approached with a spirit of realism, empathy, humour, and hope.

Throughout Laoise’s residency, her accompanying ensembles and programmes will rotate where Laoise will be accompanied by a variety of world class jazz musicians and artists such as her band The Johnny Taylor Trio – Johnny Taylor (piano), Barry Donohue (bass), and Dominic Mullan (drums), she will also perform intimate duo concerts with artists such as Cormac McCarthy (piano, composer, arranger) & Jack O’ Rourke (piano & voice).

She will also be joined along the way by some very special guests such as Paul Dunlea (trombone, composer, and arranger) and Nikki Griffin (voice) with more guests to be announced throughout her residency. Laoise will perform a variety of musical programmes to include original compositions and interpretations of jazz standards and much loved songs with some surprises in the mix! With the spotlight on her rich, soulful, tones in these relaxed evenings of music, Laoise is sure to have audiences entranced.
